At the same time, for the second phase of voting, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai urged people to vote.

'

 

With this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to follow the social distancing and vote. In a tweet, he wrote- 'Today, there are by-polls taking place in various places across India. I urge those voting in these seats to vote in large numbers and strengthen the festival of democracy."
