Patna: Unknown criminals shot dead a Rajput market in Gopalganj, Bihar, on a helper of JDU MLA Amarendra Pandey. Two more people have been injured in the accident, who has been admitted to the hospital. At present, the police filed an FIR and has started further investigation. Two persons have been named in the case and their interrogation is on.

According to Arbhink information, Devendra Pandey and local BDC member Pappu were talking near JDU MLA Amarendra Kumar Pandey at Rajapur Market in Gopalpur police station area. Meanwhile, two unidentified accused fired several rounds, in which Devendra Pandey died on the spot. While Pappu Pandey and a person riding a bicycle, Rangeela Chauhan were injured due to bullet injuries.

The injured Pappu Pandey was referred to Gorakhpur, where he too lost his life on the way. Two people died and one was injured in this accident, while the injured Rangila Chauhan has been admitted to Sadar Hospital. After the incident, the crowd present on the spot apprehended the two accused. One of them was run over and beaten by the local people. The seriously injured person has been admitted to the local hospital by the Kuchayakot police. Sadar SDPO Naresh Paswan said that the case is being investigated. Two suspected accused in the case have been caught by the villagers and handed over to the police. The cause of the incident has not been revealed yet.
