Patna: In view of the increasing infection of Coronavirus epidemic in Bihar, the government has decided not to relax any district like the Green Zone. However, there is also a state in the country which does not have a single green zone, this state is Bihar. The government has divided the districts of Bihar into red and orange zones only. Here the system of the green zone is not implemented at the moment.

Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Aamir Shothani has issued an order in this regard. Along with the increasing cases of the corona, a large number of migrant labourers and students are also being considered as the reason behind keeping the lockdown strictly enforced. The order reads that in view of the ever-increasing prevalence of coronavirus in new areas of Bihar and the arrival of a large number of migrant labourers and students from other states in the next few days, it is necessary to strictly implement the lockdown.

The order further states that due to this reason there will be two types of zones in the state. In the Red Zone, the District Magistrate can take the decision to open shops or give other exemptions other than necessary items, depending on the local conditions. The Center has included five districts of the state in the Red Zone. These include Patna, Munger, Buxar, Rohtas and Gaya. After the decision of the state government, the other 33 districts have come under Orange Zone.
