Patna: Six people from the same family lost their lives in a major road accident in the Lakhisarai district of Bihar. Four people were also seriously injured in the accident. All of them were on their way back to Jamui by sumo car after attending a cremation when their car collided with the truck. Those who lost their lives in the accident were related to late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday near Pipra village under the Halsi police station area on Sikandra-Sheikhpura NH-333 in Lakhisarai district. Six people from the same family died on the spot while 4 others were seriously injured in a major truck collision. The injured are undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital in Jamui. All the 10 people on board the sumo were reportedly coming to Jamui from Patna to attend the cremation. Meanwhile, sumo and truck collided on Sikandra-Sheikhpura highway. Six people were killed on the spot while the other four were badly injured. The truck was loaded with empty LPG cylinders LPG.
Laljit Singh, one of the six people killed in the accident, was the brother-in-law of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant's brother-in-law is posted in the police department in Haryana and his name is Omprakash Singh. All of them were returning to their home in Jamui from Patna after cremating Omprakash Singh's sister Geeta Devi. There was an outcry in the family after the accident. Mourning also spread in the area.
