Bhagalpur: A new case of gross negligence has come out of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital in Bhagalpur in Bihar. A woman admitted to the ICU of the hospital died on Friday night. The woman was fighting with life and death on the ventilator.

Meanwhile, the light went off and the generator also stopped working. The battery in the ventilator was the last support left and that too did not work at that time. Then the patient stopped getting oxygen supply and lost her life. 55-year-old woman Nirmala Devi was admitted to the Emergency Service of Mayaganj Hospital at 9 am on Friday. Seeing the seriousness of the illness, the doctors immediately shifted the woman to the ICU. Staff posted in the ICU put the patient on a C-Pap ventilator. After which the patient's health started changing.

Suddenly, at 8:55 in the night, the light of ICU went down. After two to three minutes of the power cut, the ventilator also stopped working. The people present there took the patient to the ventilator on the second bed. By the time the ventilator starts functioning, the patient lost her life around 9:05 pm. Three minutes after the death, the ICU was supplied electricity through a generator. Later investigation revealed that the ventilator battery was also bad and due to this reason the woman lost her life.
