Patna: Police have arrested the accused in connection with the brutal murder of two sadhus at the historic Heritage Nath Dham at Khirhar in Madhubani district of Bihar. The double murder was carried out last Tuesday night in the area under Harlakhi block. On the criminal history of the accused, it was found that his uncle had also opened fire on the then Sh.

Superintendent of Police Satyaprakash had gone to the spot and investigated the case and since then the police have been giving a tip-off for the arrest of the accused. Police have succeeded in arresting the accused Deepak Chaudhary from the Brahmin toll at Basopatti. In the interrogation, he admitted the charge of murder and said that he had committed the crime alone. He said the matter pertains to the dispute over donation box rupees. Deepak Chaudhary said that the two sadhus had not given him a share of the donation box money so he carried out the incident.

Deepak said he took 2 hours to separate the heads of the two sadhus. He then dragged the two bodies alone and hid them in a straw house 100 metres away. One's head was dug and hidden in the temple premises. Then he filled the bucket with water and removed the bloodstains on the spot.  He then returned home with a spade from the bicycle of one of the sadhus and hid both the items there while he himself went to a temple in Basopatti and hid. The statement of the third sadhu Narayan Mukhia has been recorded and the accused has been sent to judicial custody.
