Bihar Election: Police baton-charged at RJD workers in dark outside Rabri Devi's residence

Patna: All political parties are gearing up for the assembly elections. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is also engaged in formulating a strategy to regain power. However, the RJD workers, who caused ruckus outside the residence of former CM Rabri Devi, have been baton-charged by the police over the demand for tickets. It is reported that the baton charge was made in the dark after the lights were switched off, during this baton charge a number of workers got injured.

It is reported that RJD workers from Parsa assembly constituency had arrived outside the house of Rabri Devi late in the evening. RJD workers were demanding tickets for Parsa assembly constituency from Mahesh Rai. They were trying to meet the Tejashwi Yadav. The activists rushed to Rabri Devi's residence to demand election ticket and raised slogans over the barricades.

The protestors alleged that the police switched off the lights, after which the police personnel baton-charged on them in the dark. Several workers were injured. A high voltage drama runs every day at Rabri Devi's residence, the leaders are shouting slogans demanding a meeting with Tejashwi Yadav and make a ruckus along with the bid to get the election ticket.
