Patna: On Monday, a dangerous fight broke out between two inmates at Patna's Phulwari Sharif camp jail. Tuntun Rai, one of the prisoners, was stabbed to death. The midday event caused a ruckus in the jail. Another prisoner was hurt, and he is being treated at the hospital. Tuntun is claimed to have been imprisoned for three months. Tuntun, who was detained in the camp jail for bike theft, got into an altercation with Munna, another detainee. They were both waiting in line to drink water. The two then got into an argument over drinking water. When the dispute escalated into a murder, Mohammed Munna stabbed Tuntun Rai, the two inmates began to be severely beaten.

 

When the inmates in the vicinity saw the incident, they burst into laughter. This was reported to the jail administration right away.For the previous two days, there has been a dispute between the detainees in Ward-2 of the same jail, which got violent on Monday. On the other hand, the other prisoner had scissors on his arm. At PMCH, he is getting treatment. As soon as the incident was reported, Tuntun Rai was taken to the prison hospital. Where he was confirmed dead by doctors. A complaint was then filed at the Patna Airport Police Station. Tuntun was a native of Khajekalan in Patna City, according to Jail IG Mithilesh Mishra. Munna, a prisoner, is charged with his murder.

He said that the incident took place when the prisoner who worked as a tailor suddenly attacked him with scissors. The matter is under investigation.
