Amidst the Corona crisis, the central government has allowed the movement of migrant labourers, tourists and students etc. in different states of the country. In the order issued by the Center, it has been said that all the states and Union Territories should make preparations to send those stranded to their home states. States have also started preparing to send workers back. While the Center has ordered to send labourers through roadways or buses, some states have demanded that special trains be run for the return of labourers.

It will take a lot of time to get these people to their homes by buses. There will also be a risk of infection because many states will have to come through.

According to an assessment in Bihar about 35 to 40 lakh people have to be brought from outside. The central home ministry's guideline is that people will have to bring buses from different states. That is why there was a demand to run a special train. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has also given a tweet to this effect. In the past also, the Railways ran two special trains from Mumbai and elsewhere during the Corona period. At the instance of the Chief Minister, their stoppage was fixed.
