Purnea: Late night near Newal Chowk in Purnea district of Bihar, a 33 kV shabby wire of electricity broke down on a malaan, causing a fire in the house and burning two houses. After the incident, angry people rallied and stopped the electricity department employees from connecting wires. As soon as the incident was reported, the Assistant Engineer of the Power Department and the police of Maranga police also rushed to the spot and tried to convince the people.

People say that the electricity department from the area passes 33 kv sied wire, which passes very close to people's homes. Somewhere, the work is being done only by tying shabby wires on bamboo pegs. So far, four accidents have taken place due to shabby wire breaking. Every time the power department officials assure a permanent solution and fold the wires and move.

Agitated villagers have said that no electrical wire will be allowed to be added this time unless it is permanently resolved. On the other hand, Electrical Assistant Engineer Prabhat Singh has said that they will start work in three days and all the shabby wires in the area will be replaced with new rail poles. This time this issue will be resolved permanently.
