Patna: Bihar capital Patna and its adjoining areas are in the grip of a severe cloudy sky on Tuesday and the scorching heat has begun. Meanwhile, the temperature has also increased. Patna recorded a minimum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. According to Patna Meteorological Centre, the minimum temperature in Bhagalpur on Tuesday was 30.0 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature in Purnea was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius.

The Met Department in its forecast said that temperatures may rise in the areas around Patna and Gaya on Tuesday and Wednesday. Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea will be partly cloudy but there is no possibility of rain. During this period, the moisture content in the atmosphere will be high, which will continue the humid heat.

Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 29.2 degrees Celsius on Monday. The maximum temperature in Patna on Tuesday is expected to be around 40.0 degrees Celsius. It is worth mentioning here that the recent heat wave and bright fever have claimed hundreds of lives in Bihar. Bright fever took away the lives of more than 160 children.
