Patna: The farmers have been protesting against the new agricultural laws in the country since 19 days, while in Samastipur, Bihar, a farmer was so broke because of not getting a fair price of cabbage that he drove a tractor over the standing crop. Om Prakash Yadav, a farmer of Muktapur in Samastipur district, says that four thousand rupees per kilogram has been spent in the cultivation of cabbage and in the mandi, cabbage is not being sold even at the rate of a rupee per kg.

Explaining his problem, Om Prakash Yadav said that first, the cabbage has to be cut by the labourer, then the sack has to be packed and sent to the mandi through a cart, but there is not even one rupee per kg to buy cabbage. is. Therefore, he is forced to run a tractor on his crop. The farmer said that his produce was ruined for the second time, even before that there was no one to buy his produce.

The aggrieved farmer said that now he will plant wheat on this land. He said that the government is not getting the benefit of even one rupee. Before this, a lot of their wheat was spoiled, then the government received compensation of only one thousand 90 rupees. This farmer said that he cultivates 8 to 10 bighas and gets compensation of one thousand rupees from the government.
