Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Panchayati Raj, Amrit Lal Meena gave a detailed report on 'Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana' through a presentation. He informed about its objectives, selection of sites for installation, maintenance, financial management, etc. The Additional Chief Secretary also briefed about the implementation of the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission.
The CM also said that a strategy has been chalked out to install solar street lights in every panchayat. The administration should select the sites keeping in view both the entry points of panchayat Bhawan, hospitals, and other necessary places.
