Patna: Villages in Bihar will also now be completely lit up in milky light. There is a strategy to install solar lights in all panchayats. CM Nitish Kumar said that the survey should be conducted properly on the selection of locations for the installation of solar street lights. Select all the locations simultaneously. In the process of installing solar street lights, site selection should be such that no one is deprived of this scheme.

The same resolution at Ane Marg before CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday gave a presentation on 'Mukhyamantri Grameen Solar Street Light Yojana' through video conferencing by the Panchayati Raj Department. Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Panchayati Raj, Amrit Lal Meena gave a detailed report on 'Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana' through a presentation. He informed about its objectives, selection of sites for installation, maintenance, financial management, etc. The Additional Chief Secretary also briefed about the implementation of the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission.

The CM also said that a strategy has been chalked out to install solar street lights in every panchayat. The administration should select the sites keeping in view both the entry points of panchayat Bhawan, hospitals, and other necessary places. He said that our goal is not only to install solar street lights but also to maintain them properly.
