Patna: On Friday too, the youth's protest against the Agneepath scheme continues. On Friday morning, youths set fire to a train in Bihar's Samastipur and Lakhisarai. Several AC coaches were set ablaze by the mob of youth. After the fire, the bogies of the AC coach started burning. This morning youths ransacked the Ballia railway station in UP. Let us inform that on Thursday also, there was a boil among the youth of many states in protest against the Agneepath scheme. There was arson at many places, rail and road was blocked. In protest against this scheme, youths took to the streets in Ballia, UP.
The same SI Ram Swaroop of Bihiya police station of Buxar said that most of the people who created ruckus and violence were from the city. He said that the number of students in this was less. The people of the city took the majority. It was as if all had been hired. SI Ram Swaroop along with two other railway employees have been injured in the violence. On the other hand, political parties have also started opposing this new scheme of the central government. In its defence, Uttar Pradesh Minister Swatantradev Singh said that the opposition first instigated the farmers and is now provoking the soldiers.
Ara railway station was vandalized yesterday in protest against the Agneepath scheme in which 16 rioters were arrested by the police. In this case, the police have registered a case against more than 650 unknown persons. The youth protested a lot at Bihiya railway station and blocked the railway track. The students raised slogans against the scheme by sitting on the up and down lines. Several trains have been reported to be disrupted due to the commotion of the students. On Friday morning in Buxar, youths created a ruckus at Dumrao railway station. The mob expressed its protest by burning tires on the railway track. In view of the protest of the youth, many trains have been stopped at the next and last railway station of Dumrao station. Due to this, the youth said that the central government should take back this scheme. In Khagaria district, youth blocked roads and railways. The youths stopped the Kosi Express train after reaching Khagaria railway station. Due to which many trains have been affected. Mansi-Saharsa and Mansi-Katihar railway sections have been disrupted due to the protests. People stopped Bihar Sampark Kranti Express train at Samastipur and pelted stones on the train.
