Patna: Cold season is nearing Bihar. The state is witnessing a steady drop in temperature as the impact of the westerly wind has increased. The sky is cloudy. The state has recorded a three-degree drop in temperature for the last 72 hours. According to the MET department, the monsoon is getting dry in all parts of Bihar due to the low intensity of the trough line due to which moderate wind is also making it feel cold.

According to the same MET department, the minimum temperature in the capital has dropped by three degrees. At the same time, the temperature may further drop in the next 3 to 4 days. Meanwhile, it is forecast to be partly cloudy in most parts of the state on Tuesday. However, the weather in the state will remain normally dry till October 29. Due to this, there is no normal rainfall. According to the MET department, people are feeling light cold in the morning and night due to the increasing impact of westerly wind in the state.

Meanwhile, the state began on Monday morning with fog and light fog. Suddenly the weather changed in the afternoon and some parts of the state witnessed light to heavy rainfall. This led to 34.2 degrees Celsius at Pupri in Sitamarhi, Bihar, 31 in Patna, 30.8 in Gaya, 30.4 in Bhagalpur and 28.8 degrees Celsius in Muzaffarpur. With light fog, the formal knock of the cold season is beginning to appear.
