Kolkata: Violence has once again been reported in West Bengal. In fact, there was violence in the Mominpur area of Kolkata last night and anxiety is visible here since this incident. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari is said to have written to the Governor regarding the incident and demanded immediate action. Not only this, but he has urged the Home Ministry to deploy central forces. According to the information received so far, there has been a large-scale ruckus in areas like Ekbalpur, and Mominpur and many vehicles have been vandalised.

At the same time, there have been incidents of stone pelting and throwing bombs, which were shocking. Late last night, a large number of people surrounded the Ekbalpur police station and a heavy police force has been deployed there. Meanwhile, the RAF has also reached the spot and the BJP has demanded immediate deployment of central force in the wake of Mominpur violence in the tense area of the city. While BJP state president Dr Sukanta Majumdar said, ''Today while celebrating their festival in Mominpur, bikes and shops of Hindus were vandalized by a peaceful community. As usual, the CM is not taking any action against them and giving them a free hand.''

In another tweet, Majumdar said, "Hindus are migrating, their houses are being attacked in Mayurbhanj, Kolkata Port. The police are watching silently. There is no law and order. The situation is serious, but CM Mamata Banerjee is seeing Hindus suffering.''
