New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of candidates for the elections for the two seats of Rajya Sabha. The party has placed bets on both former MPs from SP to BJP. The BJP has also announced names for the four Legislative Assembly seats in four states. Ojaswi Mandvi from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, Hari N from Pala in Kerala, Mimi Majumdar from Badharghat in Tripura and Yuvraj Singh from Hamirpur in Uttar Pradesh will be BJP candidates in the by-elections for the assembly seats.
BJP has nominated Surendra Nagar and Sanjay Seth for the Rajya Sabha by-election in UP. Hamirpur MLA from Uttar Pradesh Ashok Chandel is to be sentenced to life imprisonment while the by-polls are to be held on the vacant seats after the resignations of Rajya Sabha members Surendra Nagar and Sanjay Seth. The BJP has placed bets on Surendra Nagar and Sanjay Seth who have left the SP and joined the party.
At the same time, Yuvraj Singh has been declared a candidate in Hamirpur. BJP executive president JP Nadda announced the names of Surendra Nagar, Sanjay Seth and Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj left the SP and joined the BJP. He has been a Congress MLA from Banda and MLC from SP. This seat is vacant due to Ashok Singh Chandel of Kshatriya society, therefore BJP has fielded candidates from Kshatriya society. Let us tell you that during the Parliament session, BJP had made a strong dent in SP.
