New Delhi: The political turmoil triggered by Rahul Gandhi's statement that Indian soldiers were beaten up by Chinese soldiers does not seem to stop. On Saturday, the BJP once again targeted Congress Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi over this. The BJP said the Congress should immediately expel Rahul Gandhi from the party for making such remarks.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that if Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge does not work remotely. If the opposition party stands with the country, then Rahul should be thrown out of the party for his comments, which have insulted India and broken the morale of the armed forces. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia compared Rahul Gandhi to King Jaichand of Kannauj, who is said to be a traitor to India in some historical reports. Bhatia said that Rahul Gandhi has often been trying to break the morale of the armed forces. Be it the surgical strikes and airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan or the Galwan Valley skirmish in which 20 soldiers attained martyrdom, everywhere Rahul Gandhi has raised questions on the valor of the army.

Gaurav Bhatia said Rahul Gandhi had sought proof of the armed forces' attack on terrorists in Pakistan, while after the Galwan clash, he had called the Prime Minister 'Surrender Modi'. Bhatia said Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the entire nation for his remarks. He said that even an apology will not scrub Rahul's sins, but it will at least show that he has realized his mistake.
