ISLAMABAD: The BJP launched a scathing attack on the Congress after Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, a former minister in Imran Khan's cabinet in Pakistan, shared a video of Rahul Gandhi on social media and praised the Congress leader. Amit Malviya, head of the BJP's IT cell, questioned whether the Congress was planning to contest elections in Pakistan due to Hussain's promotion of Rahul Gandhi.

Malviya cited Congress's alleged ties with Pakistan as becoming increasingly evident, referring to a screenshot of Hussain's post in which he praised Gandhi. Hussain shared a video featuring Rahul Gandhi in which the Congress leader criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The video included Gandhi's comments on the invitees at the Ram Mandir's Pran Pratishtha ceremony, accusing the BJP government of ignoring the interests of the poor and youth. The video also portrayed Gandhi accusing the BJP government of neglecting the common people during the inauguration of the Ram Mandir.

Another BJP leader, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, echoed Malviya's sentiment, pointing to Gandhi's supposed ties with Pakistan, which he suggested were highlighted by Hussain's endorsement of Rahul Gandhi. Reddy expressed concern over the Congress leader's relationship with figures from Pakistan, especially with Hussain's promotion of Gandhi's video.
