Mumbai: Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has tested corona positive. On Sunday, he tweeted that he had tested positive for coronavirus and had been kept away from home. Devendra Fadnavis, who is the leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, contracted the infection in October 2020 as well.

On Sunday, Devendra Fadnavis said in a tweet, "I have tested #COVID19 positive and in-home isolation. I am taking medication and treatment according to the doctor's advice. Those who have come in contact with me are advised to get the covid test done." 

Earlier, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was found to be infected with the coronavirus. Before him, the news of congress interim president Sonia Gandhi being infected with corona had come to light. Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, "I have been infected with COVID. I have mild symptoms of Corona. Keeping all the protocols in mind, I have quarantined myself at home.'' Sonia Gandhi's corona positive was informed by Congress national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala. Randeep Surjewala had also said that many of the leaders and workers whom Sonia Gandhi met in the past have also turned out to be corona infected.
