SHIMLA- HIMACHAL PRADESH: Suresh Kashyap, the president of the BJP in Himachal Pradesh, has resigned from his position. source  said, J.P. Nadda, the party's national president, has received Suresh Kashyap's resignation.

As per information from reliable sources, Kashyap said "personal reasons" for leaving the position in the letter he sent to Nadda. His resignation is, however, being interpreted as a precursor of a significant reorganisation inside the Himachal Pradesh BJP state organisation.

The BJP does not want to take any further risks with regard to Himachal Pradesh in light of the next Lok Sabha elections in 2024 after their loss in the state assembly elections last year. As a result, the BJP is probably going to reorganise the party's state chapter soon.

From Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, Suresh Kashyap is a member of the Lok Sabha, and it's possible that the party will choose to run him again in 2024.

However, the party had been let down by Suresh Kashyap's performance as state president. The Himachal Pradesh BJP lost in by-elections for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and numerous assembly seats in 2021, following Kashyap's appointment as president of the party in that state in 2020.
