Barasat: From the statements of political parties, now the picture of the West Bengal assembly elections is visible. Yes, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made its plans slowly but clearly. This time the BJP is preparing to fight the Bengal elections very aggressively. It seems that in this assembly election, the BJP will make CAA, nationalism and the alleged corruption of Mamta government as the issue.
On Saturday, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said in Barasat that 'the amended Citizenship Act (CAA) could come into force from January next year'. During this time, he has also alleged that, "The Trinamool Congress government does not have sympathy for the refugees". In fact, he spoke to reporters in North 24 Parganas district and in this conversation he said, 'We hope that the process of granting citizenship to refugees under the CAA will start from January next year. The central government passed this bill with honest intentions.
As you may know, CAA has a provision for granting citizenship of India to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Jain and Parsi refugees who came to India before 31 December 2014 from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. By the way, let us also tell you that in the past, there have been a lot of agitations in the country and against the CAA. By the time the Corona infection arrived, Shaheenbagh of Delhi had become a base for protesters against the CAA, but the movement had to end gradually.
