Mumbai: Senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut's troubles seem to be mounting. In fact, Medha, the wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya, has sent a Rs 100 crore defamation notice to Sanjay Raut. Sanjay Raut had levelled serious allegations against Kirit Somaiya and his wife, saying that Kirit Somaiya had committed a toilet scam of Rs 100 crore with the help of his wife.

Kirit Somaiya's reaction to this was also revealed. He had said that he will reply only if Sanjay Raut gives any proof. Earlier, Kirit Somaiya is also facing a Rs 57-crore fraud case. Kirit Somaiya is accused of raising funds to save INS Vikrant, but that fund was misused. The case was registered on the complaint of a 53-year-old former army man.

According to the complaint received by the police, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had launched a campaign to raise funds for INS Vikrant. The complainant alleges that he donated to Somaiya to save the ship. The BJP leader had amassed more than Rs 57 crore in this campaign. According to the allegation, they misappropriated the money, instead of depositing the amount in the office of the secretary to the Governor of Maharashtra.
