New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Ram Madhav on Monday warned India to "face serious security challenges" following the Taliban's occupation of the Afghanistan terror group. Describing ISI as a Taliban trainer and supporting Pakistan with terror outfits, Madhav has expressed doubt that the Taliban will now expand after taking over the command of Kabul.

Earlier, Indian leaders including Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy had expressed apprehensions of similar crises. Madhav said, 'The Taliban has more than 30,000 hired soldiers trained in Pak by ISI. Kabul's ruling Taliban leadership will now deploy them 'elsewhere' with the help of their patron Pak. India has to be prepared for serious security challenges. The Taliban is a huge threat to India.

Earlier, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh on Sunday stressed extra vigilance on all borders in the country and said Taliban capture of Afghanistan is not a good sign for India. Amarinder tweeted, 'Afghanistan's fall into the hands of the Taliban is not a good sign for our country. This will strengthen the China-Pakistan nexus against India. The signs are not good at all, we need to be extra alert at our border now.'
