Former Union Minister and BJP leader Yashwant Sinha On Saturday has once again questioned the policies of the Center. He said that the country's economic situation is not good. Due to the slowdown in the economy, the central government has reached the verge of bankruptcy. Due to lack of demand in many sectors, the economy is going through its worst phase. Sinha, who was the Finance Minister in the Atal government, said that the government has used all its funds and now it does not have funds and is on the verge of bankruptcy. With this, he said that the coming budget will be very important. The 'Gandhi Shanti Yatra' reached Ahmedabad on Saturday opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Citizenship Registration (NRC).

In his statement, Sinha further said that the Modi government has brought citizenship law to divert attention from important issues like the declining economy. This government is ignoring the problems related to the economy and trying to show this by manipulating the data is all right. But statistics cannot always be manipulated. The government is now accepting this and saying that they are taking steps to deal with it.

Apart from this, Sinha claimed that the Finance Ministry has asked to use 25 per cent of the budget allocated to all departments instead of 33. Private investors are not investing. The NPA of banks is continuously increasing instead of decreasing. The impact of demonetisation of 2016 started from rural areas to urban areas, due to which there was a decline in demand, which is affecting every sector of the economy and it is getting sluggish.
