Bangalore: Amid all speculation stake in who will be Karnataka's next CM, sources said the most likely is that BL Santosh's name may be announced on Tuesday or Wednesday. Sources said his name has already been sealed. State in-charge and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Arun Singh is likely to arrive in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
54-year-old BL Santosh is a meritorious student and graduates in engineering from the prestigious Regional Engineering College, Suratkal. He is also an RSS campaigner who has served as BJP general secretary in Karnataka. He was made the NATIONAL GENERAL SECRETARY (organization) of the BJP two years ago. According to media reports, sources said Santosh knows by name party workers in every assembly constituency who have worked in the organization here. Senior party leaders also fondly call him Santosh Ji. Sources said Santosh has reached Bengaluru on Monday.
Sources said BL Santosh and other senior party leaders are in touch with JDS leader HD Revanna over any revolt in the party. Tell you that Bandeppa Kashempur, deputy leader of JDS in the assembly, is said to have been in Delhi for the past four days and returned to Bengaluru on Monday. Sources said Yediyurappa, who was aware of the developments, strongly criticized the JDS and recalled that JDS had not given him power during the 20:20 government of BJP and JDS in 2008.
