Kolkata: Bengal BJP leadership and party's Rajya Sabha member Rupa Ganguly is openly supporting Gaurav Vishwas, who is contesting as an independent candidate after the party failed to give a ticket amid the Kolkata Municipal Corporation elections (KMC Election) polls. Now, even during the polling today, Sunday, Rupa Ganguly made it clear that she does not support the BJP candidate in Ward 86. Not only that, he has also made it clear that money has been taken to field candidates.

Let me tell all of you that her husband Gaurav was not given a ticket after the sudden demise of Teesta Biswas, a BJP councillor from ward 86 of KMC. Now, Rupa Ganguly is opposing the same thing. Rupa Ganguly had also intervened in the party's virtual meeting on the KMC elections today. In the meantime, he said, "Why are they called in such useless meetings? Let me tell you that BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh and Bengal BJP president SukantMajumdar were also present at the meeting. On the other hand, the list of star preachers prepared by the BJP for the KMC elections has not included Rupa Ganguly's name.

Rupa Ganguly said today, "This is the picture that the central leadership is portraying now. He's the one that introduced them. He is neither a member of the State BJP's organisation or the State Election Committee. The committee is made up of people who eat singhada. It does not pique their attention. Presidents have been elected. The entire team is Dilip Babu. Regardless, no action is being taken. Meanwhile, in answer to an enquiry, he stated, "Money has been used to field candidates. This is supported by evidence. She went on to say, "In this ward, she does not support the BJP candidate. Teesta Vishwas' soul is still being pulled by her. He went on to say, "The TMC booth is being looted by Kamalagachi.
