Pilibhit: An audio of BJP MP Varun Gandhi, who has challenged his own government on the searing issues of the country, went viral on social media on Tuesday, in which he is interacting with someone from the Barkheda area. Meanwhile, the MP has strongly criticised the BJP candidate from the Barkheda assembly constituency, Swami Pravakta Nand.

In the purported audio, Swami Pravakta Nand has been accused of taking a hefty sum of money during the Zila Panchayat elections. At the same time, Varun Gandhi has spoken about voting in favour of Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Hemraj Verma. On Tuesday afternoon, there was an uproar over the nomination process for the four assembly seats in the district. Meanwhile, the audio, which is going viral on the internet media, has further raised the political mercury. In the audio, a villager from Barkheda area is talking to MP Varun Gandhi, in which BJP candidate from Barkheda assembly constituency Jaydrath alias Swami Pravakta Nand has been described as a dagger in the back, a traitor and taking two crore rupees in Zila panchayat elections.

At the same time, in the alleged audio, there is also talk of defeating Swami Pravakta Nand in the election to teach him a lesson. The villager was asked who to vote for then, to which Varun Gandhi said to give it to SP's Hemraj Verma. Hemraj must have contested elections against him, it manoeuvres in politics. When MP Varun Gandhi was contacted about this audio, he replied that what is the authenticity of audio? Anyone can make audio by making someone's voice.
