Four BJP MPs have given notice of privilege abuses against Congress President Rahul Gandhi. BJP MPs accused Rahul Gandhi of misleading Parliament by blaming "false" on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Anurag Thakur, Dushyant Singh and Prahlad Joshi, the four MPs accused Rahul of misleading the House, gave this notice to Lok Sabha Speaker. According to the rules of the house, before any allegation against any member, Gandhi should have already given notice. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said that he should have given solid evidence to the speaker.

He said that while discussing the government's no-confidence motion, Rahul misled the House. He alleged that the defence minister is lying to the country. Sitharaman had claimed that she is bound by France for the secrecy clause in the deal with France. Accusing corruption in the deal, the Congress had demanded details including the cost of equipment and weapons. But the government refused to give details, citing the secrecy clause.

Later, the French government has clarified the allegations of Congress president Rahul Gandhi's scandal in Rafale deals. France says that he saw and heard Rahul Gandhi's statement in the Indian Parliament. There was a security agreement between France and the Indian government in 2008.

Under this, both countries will not make any such information public which will affect the operational and security capabilities of the deal. Both countries are legally bound to it. This same provision applies to the deal on September 23, 2016, under which a decision on the purchase of 36 Rafael fighter aircraft and its weapons between India and France has been decided.
