New Delhi: Congress MLAs staying in a hotel in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, have refused to return to Madhya Pradesh. It is likely that they will not return to their home state for a week. It is also being said that the BJP leadership is not in favor of the rebel Congress MLAs returning from Karnataka before the majority test by the Kamal Nath government. There is evidence that the BJP hopes that in the first week of the session, the government will be defeated in a trust vote or appropriation bill. Meanwhile, out of 22 rebel MLAs, Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker NP Prajapati has issued a notice asking them to appear. However, none of these MLAs returned.

According to the information received, it was being speculated that on Friday, 13 March 2020, 13 MLAs would return to their homes via Delhi, but this did not happen. It is still being speculated that this plan was cancelled at the last moment. However, everyone in the BJP is insisting that all the 22 rebel MLAs of the Congress have voluntarily gone out of the state. But, still the party is not willing to return for another week. The BJP feels that it should not change its mind. It is believed that due to the Rajya Sabha elections, the BJP wants to take careful steps. If necessary, voting will be done on 26 March.

If sources are to be believed, it is also being said that the senior leaders of Madhya Pradesh BJP met Governor Lalji Tandon on Saturday, March 14, 2020 and said that the Congress government is in a minority, so direct the government to conduct floor tests. Raj Bhavan is exploring legal possibilities by calling law experts. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava, former Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Bhupendra Singh and other senior leaders met Governor Lalji Tandon on Saturday. These leaders said that it is no longer possible for Chief Minister Kamal Nath to run the government in a constitutional manner, so calling the special session before the budget session starting March 16, the government should be asked to do floor tests only. After this the popularity of Raj Bhavan has increased.
