Sexual harassment case: HD Revanna-Prajwal face trouble, SIT issues notice

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also issued notice to Janata Dal (Secular) MLA HD Revanna, his son and Hassan MP Prajjwal Revanna on Tuesday. The notice has been issued in the case of alleged sexual harassment. Sources say that both have been asked to appear before the SIT for investigation. 

Case registered on woman's complaint: Reports say that a case was registered at Holenarasipura police station in Hassan district on Sunday on the complaint of a woman working in Revanna's house. A case has been registered against father and son under sections 354A (sexual exploitation), 354D (stalking), 506 (intimidation) and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

SIT formed to investigate the case: After several videos went viral, SIT has been formed to investigate the alleged sex scandal related to Prajjwal Revanna. The responsibility of investigation has been handed over to Additional Director General of Police (ADG) BK Singh of Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Prajjwal Revanna is not in the country: Meanwhile, there is news that Prajjwal Revanna is not in the country. Now it is being said that he went abroad after the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka on 26 April. Prajjwal Revanna is the BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency.
