New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, addressing the Rashtriya Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024 in Patna, Bihar on Saturday, claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the BJP and NDA have significantly contributed to the country's progress. In contrast, Nadda accused the constituent parties of the INDI Alliance of fostering corruption and empowering anti-national elements.

During the event, which was attended by Bihar BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, and other state BJP officials, Nadda began his address by paying tribute to Guru Gobind Singh for his contributions against the Mughals.

Nadda highlighted the BJP's unique membership renewal process, where members from the National President to district and booth-level karyakartas renew their membership every six years. He emphasized that this process sets the BJP apart from other parties, which he claimed are divided by caste, region, or centered around a single family. The BJP, he said, represents every section of society and aims to reach 10 crore members, having already enrolled over 1.25 crore.

The BJP President contrasted the party's commitment to equality and inclusive development with other parties, particularly the Congress, which he accused of neglecting Dalit rights. Nadda noted that while Congress had historically hindered BR Ambedkar’s political progress, the BJP has honored Ambedkar's legacy by declaring November 26th as 'Samvidhan Diwas,' building memorials, and integrating Dalits into governance. He praised the BJP government for initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which provided homes to 1 crore 77 lakh Dalit families, and highlighted the benefits Dalits have received from central schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

Earlier in the day, Nadda visited the Patna Sahib Gurudwara and offered prayers, expressing his gratitude and seeking blessings for the nation’s prosperity. He is on a two-day visit to Bihar, where he also inaugurated several health projects.
