Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief and former CM Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday accused the BJP of pushing the country towards the second partition by dividing people on religious lines. Along with this, Mehbooba Mufti also praised the country's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru for his secular credentials and taking India on the path of development and prosperity.

Actually, Mehbooba Mufti had reached RS Pura to address the PDP workers. During this, the former CM said that the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah had divided the country. But today work is being done to divide the country on communal lines. These people want partition again. PDP supremo Mehbooba Mufti said that the President of India Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse. Today thousands of people are following the ideology of Nathu Ram Godse. Appealing, he said that people will have to unite and fight the nefarious designs of BJP and other fascist forces.

Mufti further said that, if we allow religious division to happen, then the sacrifice of freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh will go in vain. So now we do not have to allow Gandhi to be assassinated once again. He said, PDP will not allow Gandhi's ideology to die. Let me tell you, this is the same Mehbooba Mufti, who used to say that if Article 370 was removed, then no one will be found in Kashmir to raise the tricolor of India and used to consider Kashmir separate from India. But today she is talking about Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh.
