Mumbai: The problems of Maharashtra government minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik are constantly increasing. A special PMLA court on Thursday extended the remand of Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government and NCP leader, to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) till March 7. The case pertains to Dawood Ibrahim's money laundering. Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has launched a scathing attack on the Maharashtra government over the issue.  

Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that for the first time in Maharashtra, a minister is inside the jail yet his resignation was not taken. He has gone to jail on charges of colluding with Dawood's family. Why doesn't the government want to take Nawab Malik's resignation, this is the Dawood dedicated government, this is the Dawood Asylum government. BJP staged a protest outside the Maharashtra Assembly demanding the resignation of Nawab Malik. Due to this, Devendra Fadnavis said, "Why does the government not want to take the resignation of Nawab Malik? This is Dawood's dedicated government. The resignation of Nawab Malik should be taken immediately."

Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government and NCP leader, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on February 23 last in a money laundering case related to Dawood Ibrahim. After which the special court sent him to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate till March 3. On Thursday, the court extended Nawab Malik's custody till March 7.
