New Delhi:Lok Sabha election 2019 is around the corner and political parties have started appealing to the voters. The political parties particularly are dissing each other through political rap battles. While, this isn’t the typical east coast-west coast rap rivalry witnessed in the US, both the BJP and the Congress have used parody rap and slick video editing in order to reach out to voters.

BJP shared a slick Gully Boy-inspired parody rap video to dis the Congress party. In the video, the corruption cases of the UPA era are highlighted along with rap lyrics. The video begins with the iconic "Azadi" slogans raised by former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar against various issues plaguing the country, the verses capture everything from Robert Vadra's alleged corruption cases to different controversies plaguing the Nehru-Gandhi family among others.

The one verse of the video says "Desh kaisey hoga saaf, inki neeyat mein hai daag, sirf kartey hai ye baat, alag shakal wahi jaat.”

Earlier also, BJP tried to woo the millennial audience. On January 30, PM Modi’s BJP posted yet another musical highlighting the achievements of his tenure on its Facebook page.
