LUCKNOW : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh will be holding a three-day meeting for its functionaries in Chitrakoot between July 29-31. The party has begun planning for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
As per party sources, the meeting would be attended by party national chief J.P. Nadda, national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santhosh, and P Murlidhar Rao, national convener of the RSS's economic and cultural wing, Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
All union ministers from Uttar Pradesh, and also the Chairman Minister Yogi Adityanath, his ministers, and the state BJP chief, will attend the ceremony.
"The objective of the meet is to equip party members with necessary skills that they need to acquire in carrying out party activities in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha election," a senior party functionary stated.
The BJP has also invited all six regional presidents, general secretaries, and district in-charges to the meeting for more direction from the party leadership. They will supply key information regarding the state's ground-level political reality, as the BJP aims to capitalise on the split between alliance allies Samaj Party (SP) and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP).
According to sources, the BJP is also planning a roadmap for the state in order to strengthen its ties with non-Yadav OBCs and non-Jatav Dalits, two crucial communities that play a significant role in the BJP's larger social coalition.
