Shimla: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Mandi Municipal Corporation elections in Himachal Pradesh. The BJP has hoisted the winning sequence in the municipal elections held in CM Jairam Thakur's home district. BJP candidates have won 11 of the 15 wards in the municipal mandi elections. With this, the BJP has occupied the municipal mandi.

BJP workers were seen celebrating after the election results were declared. Crackers and fireworks were performed. On the other hand, during this victory celebration, activists were seen ignoring corona rules. Well, BJP candidate Virendra Arya attributed CM Jairam Thakur for his victory and said that he will solve the problems of the people and try to live up to the expectations of the people.

Briefing reporters, Sub Divisional Officer Nivedita Negi said that the sub-division has 1 to 13 wards, out of which BJP has won 10 wards and Congress has won 3 wards. On the other hand, sub-divisional officer Ashish Sharma said that Congress has won one of the two wards of the Balh sub-division and BJP has won one ward.
