Hyderabad: BJP workers on Sunday attacked the house of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA Chala Dharma Reddy. Police said some BJP leaders and activists attacked the MLA with stones and eggs. The attack took part by BJP leaders and activists from Warangal Urban and Warangal rural districts.

BJP workers broke the window panes and damaged the furniture. They reached the place and arrested the attackers. Assistant Police Commissioner Jitendra Reddy said the situation was immediately brought under control. During the BJP's protest in front of the MLA's house, protesters started screaming 'Jai Sri Ram' and throwing stones.

Addressing a meeting three days ago, Parkal asked why the people of Telangana should donate to the temple in Ayodhya when Bhadrachalam was already ramlam. Why do we need this Ram? "Trs MLAs, saying that he is not against the construction of the temple, says God is not only for you but for all. He accused BJP leaders of politicising the issue.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Dharma Reddy reiterated his remarks. He wanted to know why the account was not kept in connection with the donations received to the Ram temple. The TRS and BJP have been engaged in slugfest on the Ram temple for the past few days. Vidya Sagar of another TRS MLA Rao raised the BJP to the leaders of the subscription campaign for the temple. "We have Ram temples in every village," he says. "They're making a new drama. All are devotees of Rama. Why do we need a Ram temple in Ayodhya?"
