Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is once again getting a one-sided victory in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections. The BJP has not only defeated the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress as well as the Teachers Union this time. The election was held on 6 teachers and 5 graduate MLC seats. BJP has also defeated Om Prakash Sharma in this election.
It is noteworthy that in the elections held in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on the seats vacated by the teacher quota, the BJP has defeated the other parties in the state. In UP's 11 assembly seats, 199 candidates fielded. Out of which BJP had fielded candidates for 4 seats. While SP and Sharma gang fielded their candidates in all seats.
Om Prakash Sharma faction has been dominated in these entire elections till now, but this time the BJP reversed the entire innings. In these elections, BJP's candidate Mr Chand Sharma has also defeated Omprakash Sharma, a prominent leader of the teachers union. Due to the strict strategy and organizational activism of the BJP, the equation of SP and teacher politics has collapsed.
