BJP has also defeated Om Prakash Sharma in this election.

It is noteworthy that in the elections held in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on the seats vacated by the teacher quota, the BJP has defeated the other parties in the state. In UP's 11 assembly seats, 199 candidates fielded. Out of which BJP had fielded candidates for 4 seats. While SP and Sharma gang fielded their candidates in all seats.

Om Prakash Sharma faction has been dominated in these entire elections till now, but this time the BJP reversed the entire innings. Due to the strict strategy and organizational activism of the BJP, the equation of SP and teacher politics has collapsed.
