PALGHAR: Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait warned on Friday that the farmers' ongoing protest will continue, even after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's historic declaration repealing three disputed agriculture regulations.
"The farmers' strike will continue. "We will wait until the three agriculture laws are officially repealed by Parliament," Tikait told reporters here. Tikait was in Palghar to meet with local farmer representatives to discuss a number of issues. He also stated that there are a slew of other issues concerning farmers that need to be addressed, and he urged the administration to "discuss them" and expressed his willingness to meet with them.
"We dedicate it to the nearly 750 farmers who perished, and to the tribals, workers, women, and others who became a part of this historic movement," Tikait added, describing it as a crucial win for the peasantry.
"We're sitting on a pile of explosives, and the agitation is keeping them alive." "Everyone must act appropriately," Tikait urged.
