Guna: A fierce scuffle broke out between the police and blackbuck poachers in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, in which three policemen lost their lives. The deceased include SI Rajkumar Jatav, guard Neeraj Bhargava and guard Santram. The criminals were killing the blackbuck. The incident took place late on Friday night. A high-level emergency meeting has been convened at 9.30 am at the CM's residence over the issue.
The incident took place in Guna and it is from Saga Barkheda village. This village falls at Aron police station. Police had received intelligence input that some poachers had gone hunting for deer. Police went to the spot to nab them. Just then the gang of hunters attacked them. Three policemen were killed in the attack.
The photos recovered from the spot are very dangerous. The scene here looks like an encounter. It seems that the police personnel have been shot from close range. Four heads of deer, two deer with no head and the carcass of a peacock bird were seized from the spot. Senior policemen from the district have reached the spot. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that three police officers and employees were martyred in the firing by miscreants near Guna. He said that the accused will not be let off and strictest possible action will be taken. He said CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself is monitoring it.
