Pakistan: Death toll in Karachi blast climbs to 15

Islamabad: Pak has been shocked by the explosion once again. The death toll in Pakistan's Karachi bomb has grown to 15. The explosion caused a building to fall. Officials from relief and rescue organisations are still attempting to extract those trapped beneath the debris of the building. It is likely that the death toll will continue to rise. According to accounts, the incident occurred in Karachi's Shershah neighbourhood, causing a partial collapse of a building.

Where it is learnt that police and rescue officials rushed to the spot after the blast and the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.  It is also being said that many people are estimated to be buried in the debris. The cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained. The nature of the explosion is beginning to be ascertained by the police. Some reports also say that the incident was caused by a blast in explosives. The explosion is also being estimated due to gas leakage.

Shahbaz Gill, the special assistant to Pak PM Imran Khan, has said that Dilawar Khan, father of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MP Alamgir Khan, has also died in the blast. Gill tweeted in Urdu, "We share the grief of Alamgir Khan and other bereaved families." The blast is currently under thorough investigation.
