Kanpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kanpur on December 28. He will attend the convocation of Kanpur IIT here. According to reports, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Kanpur Metro. PM Narendra Modi can travel by metro from IIT to Geeta Nagar station. UP government has started all preparations for PM Modi's visit and state principal secretary housing and urban planning Deepak Kumar reached Kanpur on Saturday and gave necessary directions to the district administration and metro officials.

PM Modi's schedule for the inauguration of Kanpur Metro is yet to be scheduled and it is said to be sealed on December 22. However, the UP government and Kanpur Metro are making preparations on this basis. It is likely that PM Modi will inaugurate the Kanpur Metro. Principal Secretary Awas Deepak Kumar visited the city last Saturday to take stock of pm Modi's arrival in the city on December 28 and preparations for the inauguration of the metro. He held a meeting with all officials including DM and ADM City. The DM told them that all preparations are complete and checks have been conducted up to IITs up to Geeta Nagar metro station. Meanwhile, Deepak Kumar said, "The PM's metro journey should be made very pleasant, and beautiful pictures should be put up everywhere. The metro is expected to get NOC by December 22.''

The DM held a meeting at Vikas Bhawan on the arrival of PM and said, "PM Narendra Modi will hold a public meeting at Nirala Nagar Maidan and 1.25 lakh people will come here. There are one lakh beneficiaries. So the administration is preparing in view of the overcrowding. It is being reported that people from districts around Kanpur will attend PM Modi's rally.
