After this massacre, Gajendra had left the village along with his son Virendra along with his entire family and started living in Ahmedabad. The police had also arrested the culprit of this case, Virendra. The matter went to court. Virendra served 18 months in jail and was then released. Virendra's father Gajendra offers a settlement to Dhir Singh's family. Thereafter, a settlement was reached between the two parties. The family members of Virendra told that he had also given Rs. 1000000 to Dhir Singh's family as a form of reconciliation and had also given a house. After the reconciliation, Gajendra and Virendra had reached the village with the family on Friday, but the family members of Dhir Singh started firing bullets at Gajendra and his family members. Due to this the members of Gajendra's family were shot one by one, out of which 3 people died on the spot.
