BMC takes major step on rising corona cases in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Rising corona epidemic cases have raised concerns in India, meanwhile, 12,160 new corona cases created a ruckus in Maharashtra on Monday. The state also recorded 11 deaths within 24 hours. Out of these, 8082 new corona cases were reported in Mumbai alone and 2 persons died. 68 new omicron infected people were confirmed in the state, out of which 40 patients were reported in Mumbai. The same 8082 cases of corona infection in Mumbai within 24 hours are 19 more than Sunday's figures.

New Guidelines Issued:-
BMC has issued new guidelines for building ceilings. It says that if more than 20 per cent of the data of flats occupied in the building or wing is corona patients, the entire building or one wing will be sealed. In the state capital Mumbai, 11 construction zones have been set up and 318 buildings have been sealed. In view of the pace at which cases are increasing, the maintenance zones will also increase and many more buildings may be closed.

Increasing cases in Delhi and Mumbai:-
In the same week, the case data and test positivity rate in Delhi and Mumbai have increased uniformly. The rate of admission of patients to hospitals in both cities has also increased. However, according to official data, 211 of the 420 patients admitted in Delhi have mild symptoms and 7 are on ventilator support.
