Imphal: PM Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 22 projects worth over Rs 4,800 crore in Manipur's capital Imphal today. Meanwhile, PM Modi said that a few days from now, Manipur is going to complete 50 years of statehood on January 21. The country is currently celebrating the Amrut Mahotsav on 75 years of its independence. This time itself is a great inspiration.

 

PM Modi will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala during the visit and also inaugurate two important development plans. In Manipur, PM Modi will launch 13 projects worth Rs 1,850 crore and lay the foundation stone of nine projects worth Rs 2,950 crore. These projects relate to road infrastructure, drinking water supply, health, urban development, residential, information technology, skill development and other sectors including art and culture.

Addressing a public meeting here, PM Modi said that the Integrated Command and Control Centre at Imphal will not only improve the security of the city but also help in facilities. He said the eastern part of the country will become the main source of India's development. Today Manipur and North East India are adding new colours to the future of the country. Today, so many projects have been laid and inaugurated simultaneously here. The garland of these jewels of development will facilitate the lives of the people here.
