Vaishali: A boat carrying passengers capsized in the Gandak river at Lalganj in Vaishali, Bihar. More than 25 people drowned in the accident. In this, 2 people died while 23 people have been rescued. All these people were carrying a body for the last rites when the accident took place.

It is being told that this accident happened due to the solemn flow of the Gandak river. The boat had capsized due to the strong flow of water. Officials who reached the spot have announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Let us know that recently an incident of boat capsizing was also reported in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh. Lekhpal Chandra Bhushan Tiwari, who had gone to distribute relief materials to the people of the village stranded due to heavy rains in Ashraf Nagar here, went missing after the boat capsized in the flood.  

Other people, including panchayat assistant employment servants, were also in the same boat. These people somehow saved their lives by swimming. Earlier in early September, there was a major accident in Patna, Bihar. A boat full of people capsized in the Ganga river in the Danapur Shahpur police station area. According to Danapur SDM, there were around 50-55 people in the boat. Out of which 10 persons were reported missing.
