New Delhi: New Zealand has started preparing the team for the ICC Women's World Cup to be held in 2021. New Zealand has named Bob Carter as the head coach of the New Zealand women's cricket team for the World Cup. Carter has served as an assistant coach twice with the men's team. He was the interim coach of the women's team on a recent tour of Australia and worked as a high-performance coach with the team over the winter. Carter said that "I see a lot of potential in this particular group of cricketers"

Carter said that "we have a good mix of youth and experience that we can redeem and I am feeling very positive about the next chapter of the women's team". The New Zealand women's team will play three ODIs and five T20s against South Africa in the summer before starting the T20 World Cup campaign in New Zealand. Carter has officially begun his work. The team will have a training camp in Lincoln from September 22. New Zealand men's team continued their journey till the final in the World Cup, performing brilliantly. But England lost in the final.
