Jammu: Do you know that Kashmir, which is called heaven on earth, is going to be the first choice of Bollywood again. Lieutenant Governor has made preparations to give films industry status to attract investment related to film production. In the draft Jammu and Kashmir Film Policy 2020, it is proposed to give industry status to the film sector. Film-related activities will also get benefits under the industry policy.

It has been learned that Jammu and Kashmir Film Development Council has also been proposed. At the same time, the emphasis will be on preparing the location of film city, television studio and shooting in the draft. Information on this effect was given in the first meeting on the draft of the Jammu and Kashmir Film Policy on Wednesday. In a meeting held under the chairmanship of Joint Director of Information Department Namrata Dogra, the film policy draft was placed before the stakeholders.

Dogra said that the draft of the film policy will be an important proposal in view of the investors' conference to be held in April. Jammu and Kashmir has always been a center of attraction for Bollywood. It is also being said that in the proposed new film policy special provisions have been made for people connected to the film world. With this, all kinds of concessions in the industrial sector will also be available to film makers. After the formation of the Jammu and Kashmir Film Development Council, financial assistance is being provided by the government to make digital and television shows including feature and non-feature films.
