Prayagraj: A case of throwing a bomb outside the ancestral residence of retired Judge Ashok Bhushan, who was part of the Supreme Court bench that commanded the Shriram temple case in Ayodhya, has come to light on Monday. Police forces from several police stations rushed to the spot after receiving information. On the other hand, IG KP Singh says that it is not a bomb blast but a firecracker and those who have done so will be penalized.

In fact, Justice Ashok Bhushan has his ancestral house on Hashimpur Road in the Colonelganj police station area of Prayagraj. The house is inhabited by his brother and senior Allahabad high court lawyer Anil Bhushan while Justice Ashok Bhushan lives with his family in Aske Nagar in the Cantt police station area. People say that on Monday evening, bike-borne miscreants exploded two bombs one by one outside their residence in Hashimpur and fled. On receiving the information, senior police officials along with forensic and BDS teams reached and started investigating the case. The officials alerted the crime branch to nab the accused and directed them to install surveillance.

Judge Ashok Bhushan told that the work of painting the house was going on, so the DVR of the CCTV camera was switched off. However, the police are investigating based on the footage of CCTV cameras installed on the road. At the same time, neighbors say that for the past several days, chaotic miscreants have been seen roaming on Hashimpur Road and they looked like drug addicts. IG KP Singh has told that a police team has been set up to arrest the accused. He said that a case has been registered in Colonelganj police station for speeding bikes and throwing explosives. The crime branch and surveillance have identified the accused.
